2018 Copes Corners Spring Fest poster

Copes Corners Park's  Spring Fest
, State Highway 51, Gilbertsville

9:00 a.m. until noon
  - Fishing Derby sponsored by Trout Unlimited. Brown trout will be released in the morning into the Butternut Creek and boys and girls ages three to fifteen will compete to catch them. Three age groups (3-5 with adult help, 6-10, and 11-15) – kids can bring their own rod & reel or use one provided by Trout Unlimited volunteers – prizes  will be awarded.

10 a.m.. Oneonta  musician Cabral Gunter performs original Reggae songs.

11:00 a.m. – Yoga Activity led by Diane Gallo – from beginners to experts, all are welcome to participate.  Dress for the weather and bring a mat if you have one..  

Noon – 3:00 p.m.  – Ross Park Zoomobile will visit the park bringing zoo animals to meet and get to know as well as representatives from the zoo to answer your questions.

Noon- 3:00 p.m.– Ice Cream Social  provided by the Gilbertsville Fire Department Auxiliary – goodwill  donation if you would like to do so.

Noon - Singer, songwriter Khalil Jade Carney performs folk and pop - original and covers.

1 p.m.  GMU talent show winner and local favorite, Rylee Lum plays Country

2:00 p.m.  – Boat Float contest – Build a toy boat at the park withprovided materials - the boat building table will open at 10 a.m.  At 2 p.m. boats will be released into the Butternut Creek and prizes will be awarded to the boats which arrive at the finish line the fastest.

1:00 p.m. through  5:00 p.m. – Midnight Alarm Water Ball competition – watch your local fire departments compete for a trophy to see who can perform this drill the quickest.

3:00 p.m.  – Zumba with Zoe – Back by popular demand! – no experience necessary – come and participate in Zumba exercise with Zoe along the beautiful banks of the Butternut Creek.

4:00 p.m. - Bainbridge Guilford Jazz Band will perform a selection of pieces.

7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. - BONFIRE It has come to be a tradition at park events to close with a bonfire along the Butternut Creek – bring a chair and a beverage and while away the evening with friends while listening to live music by Gary Jennings.


RV and tent camping is available at the park both Friday and Saturday nights on the Spring Fest weekend at a special rate of $10 and $5 respectively – call 607-783-2203 for camping reservations.
